Can I get a second advance?
Yes. You can apply for additional advances on the same case, subject to the same review. On a second or later advance only the $100 processing fee applies — the $100 application fee is charged once.
Each advance is priced from its own funding date, so a second advance taken six months after the first starts its own schedule at 25%.
How much more is available depends on what has already been advanced against the case and how the case has developed since. Cases sometimes support more funding later, as treatment completes and value becomes clearer.
Taking a smaller advance now and another later usually costs less than taking a large one up front, because the charge on the second amount starts running later.
